US and UK Reach Agreement on the Future of Atlantic Trade

On Monday US and UK officials began a 2-day meeting in Baltimore aimed at strengthening trade ties between the two countries. In addition to a host of other commitments between the two countries (including protecting labor rights and the environment; promoting supply chain resilience; supporting the low-carbon transition; making it easier for SMEs to export; and ensuring the benefits of trade are evenly distributed across our countries), the countries have agreed to a plan to remove US tariffs on British steel and aluminum, and UK retaliatory tariffs on US exports, including whiskey. #atlantictrade #tradeagreement #tariffs
